A brace of wins in August to cap off a 100% winning season saw the Falcons finish six points clear at the top of the division.
A Wednesday night trip to Redbridge Raiders in Southampton saw the return of Mike Schredl, Annabelle Trimmer and Jodie Bowry to the squad - all three players made an impact in offense as Chichester set out their stall early in the game getting 11-4 ahead by the third inning.
Those proved to be the last runs conceded by the Falcons for the rest of the game as David Morris and Charlie Thacker shut down the left side of the infield for James Mortimore to grab anything deeper. Josh Bristow and Nat Morey dealt with right field superbly and hustled onto anything hit their way before Bristow and Molly Rayner both homered late in the game to invoke the mercy rule with the score at 19-4.
The Falcons welcomed Hursley Hurricanes to Oaklands Park the following weekend for their last league game of the season. The pleasantries ended once Chichester stepped up to bat and shot sixteen runs past Hursley in the first two innings, including home runs from James Wheeler and James Blackall.
Amy Morris took to the outfield for the first time this year and held her own at centre left while Sarah d'Agar continued to impress both at catcher and second base, adding two runs to the tally in the process.
Jamie Wright stepped in for his second appearance of the season to knock a pair of runs in while Russ Percy tortured the Hurricanes with his looping pitches, managing to give up only five runs for the duration of the game.
This encounter only needed six of the seven innings before the mercy rule brought things to a close, to cap off a fine season for the Falcons and send them to division one for 2025.
Later this month, the Falcons will travel to Paris to compete in a co-ed fastpitch tournament before hosting their own international event at Oaklands Park on 28 & 29 September.
